Job Requirements of Nurse Practitioner(NP) Needed in Escondido, CA:
- Serve in a hospitalist function
- Educate and promote hospitalist program among hospital staff
- Attend hospitalist meetings and medical office meetings to support the goals of the hospitalist department and overall ACP medical practice
- Handle all scheduling Practice administrator that handle office functions and a Director of Operations onsite Regional operations manager and practice manager will provide weekly drill down reports
- Specialize in cardiovascular care, comprehensive cancer service and women and children's services; largest employer in the area and nationally recognized quality leader
- Make each individual feel valued for contributions
- Respond to requests in a timely manner
- Cultivating communication between the hospitalist team and the hospital
- Perform dictation of Discharge Summary and Procedure reports
- Collect and report program metrics (e. g., concurrent Core Measures, Sound specific HCAHPS, VTE work lists, Foley Catheter data tracking)
- Provide comprehensive health care for assigned hospitalized adult medicine patients admitted to the hospitalist services
- Supervising physician or hospitalist medical director that are within the scope of practice of an APN/PA
- Participate in client and care team meetings to evaluate and plan progress of the hospitalist program
- Provide high quality medical care for hospital patients
- Provide services to inpatient hospital care
- Participate in daily standup meeting with hospitalist team to ensure communication and implementation of patient plan of care
- Follow up phone calls to discharged patientsat request of physician or by protocol
- Perform discharge summary as requested by supervising hospitalist
- Attend monthly hospitalist meetings, journal clubs, billing and documentation education, assigned committee meetings, and other necessary sessions conducted for or by the hospitalist group
- Coordinate care of selected patients with hospitalist team and hospital departments (e. g., nursing, quality, case management, clinical documentation, pharmacy)

Sterling Medical is currently seeking a Full time Nurse Practitioner(NP) to provide services at the Escondido (CBOC) VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic located in Escondido , CA. This clinic plays a vital role in serving the healthcare needs of Veterans in Escondido and surrounding communities
Clinic Schedule:
- Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- No nights, weekends, or on-call duties
Compensation & Benefits:
- 40-hour workweek
- Health insurance coverage beginning after 30 days of employment
- 4 weeks of paid time off annually
- 10 Federal Holidays off
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
- Active California Nurse Practitioner License
- Current BLS certification
