Early Intervention Educator Coordinator- Live & Work in Germany!

Qualifications:

Early Intervention Specialist (EIS):

Shall have a PhD in Early Childhood Intervention, OR a master’s degree with 7 years of experience developing performance standards for state level (or equivalent) programs, teaching at the university level, providing federal level consultation and monitoring of Early Intervention programs or DoD EDIS program.

Due to the dual role of this advisor position, the Early Intervention Specialist must have expert level knowledge of IDEA, Parts B and C. It is strongly preferred that the EIS have experience working in school programs and be a specialist in EI. The EIS must be able to advise all members of the EDIS teams in relation to the MRS and EI mission of the EDIS program.

EI providers should have a minimum of two (2) years of early intervention home-based, parent/caregiver-coaching experience with at least six (6) months working within a transdisciplinary team model.

All providers should have at least one (1) year within the past five (5) years of experience working within the age group and environments for which employment is being considered. This experience could be gained during practicum, internship, or a clinical fellowship as part of a degree program.

Job Requirements:

  • Recruit employment opportunities for youth
  • Supervise and assist with training for youth served in the out of school youth programs
  • Develop collaborative relationships with other community youth programs
  • Integrate the youth into the entire community of faith
  • Identify and reconcile youth employment interests with community workforce
  • Lay persons working with middle and senior high youth
  • Develop and coordinate a youth council to participate in program development
  • Teach and train volunteers in all aspects of youth ministry
  • Train a Peer Ministry team of confirmed high school youth to assist with Confirmation
  • Utilize social media to engage youth
  • Providing exemplary customer service to youth, employers, and community partners
  • Supervise and/or participate in program related youth development and training activities
  • Organize, recruit, empower and strengthen individuals in youth ministries
  • Advise parents about the youth ministry programs, goals and needs
  • Provide updates on youth enrolled in the WIA Youth program
  • Develop and implement a young adult ministry program for parishioners
  • Provide opportunities to form youth leaders
  • Facilitate program and leadership development for the spiritual formation of middle and senior high youth and families
  • Develop and maintain relationships with programs serving youth 17-25, serve as the case manager for youth enrolled, and develop business partnerships to train and employ individuals
  • Serve as the Case Manager for youth enrolled in the program including plan development, coordination of services, and job placement activities
