Job Requirements of X-Ray Technologist for VA in Portland, OR:
Minimum Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited educational training program in which technologists are certified as Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and must be certified for their specialty.
- Two years’ experience in the operation of diagnostic radiology equipment under the direction of a Radiologist or other medical officer to produce Radiographic studies/images used in medical diagnosis and treatment
- Two years hospital experience within the U.S.
- Must have worked within a hospital lab setting as a Vascular Ultrasound Tech in the last 6 months.
- U.S. Citizenship required for federal background investigation.
Certifications:
- Must have a BCLS Certification (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- ARRT
