Job Requirements of Ultrasound Technologist- Full time:
- Provide diagnostic ultrasound tests for patients
- Prepare patients for ultrasound examination
- Performing all patient ultrasound imaging procedures
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and work with students
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams according to physician orders
- Perform a full range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and operate all ultrasound equipment in department
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and work area
- Evaluate new ultrasound products and equipment
- Whenperforming exams and quality control on ultrasound equipment
- Performing exams and quality control on ultrasound equipment
- Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices
- Use darkroom equipment to develop ultrasound films
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures assigned by the team facilitator
- Perform diagnostic procedures applying prescribed methods of ultrasound technique
- Utilizing both stationary and portable ultrasound equipment
- Perform a wide range of general and special diagnostic ultrasound procedures including vascular studies
- Stay current with trends in ultrasound care
- Utilizing specialized ultrasonic equipment to detect abnormalities in specific areas or angles of the body
- Perform diagnostic quality vascular ultrasound and other non-invasive vascular procedures utilizing proper technique consistent with department protocols and ultrasound safety practices
- Maintain ultrasound supplies and sanitation of instruments

Ultrasound Technologist- Full time
Sterling Medical is seeking a Full time Ultrasound Technologist to provide services at VA Portland Health Care System.
Requirements for the Ultrasound Techs are as follows:

Must be registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Abdomen/Small Parts and at least two separate certifications, such as RVT, OB/GYN, Muscular Skeletal, etc;

Must have a BCLS certification and demonstrate expertise in ultrasounds of scrotum, pelvis and U/S guided biopsy, including liver and renal biopsies of native and transplanted organs, renal artery stenosis and renal Doppler.

Must have a minimum 3 years of hospital experience within the United States.

Must have worked within a hospital setting as an Ultrasound Tech in the last six months.

Must have worked within a hospital lab setting as a Vascular Ultrasound Tech in the last six months
