Certification:
The following are recognized certifications with appropriate level of experience:
CCS-(P), Certified Coding Specialist-Physician
CPC-Certified Professional Coder
or
Registered Health information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) are also acceptable eligible or certified
Any Credentials from AAPC or AHIMA are also acceptable.

Sterling Medical is currently looking for
Certified Medical Coder
(must have previous coding experience)
On-Site at Naval Medical Center,San Diego, CA
Great Pay, 2 Weeks PTO, 11 Paid Federal Holidays
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.....
AfterTraining this position would be 20% (1 day) working on base
and 80% (4 days of the week) teleworking from home.
You must live within the range to access the base one day a week after training. (up to 50 mile radius of the base)
Qualifications
Experience
(8) Three years of outpatient coding experience working in patient abstract coding preferred. Coding auditing is a plus but not required.
Must have working knowledge of ICD codes, (CPT) Current Procedural Terminology, and(E&M) Evaluation and Management codes.
