X-Ray Technologist- Full time

Sterling Medical Corporation Portland, OR (Onsite) Full-Time

Sterling Medical is seeking a Full time Ultrasound Technologist to provide services at VA Portland Health Care System.

Requirements for the X-Ray Techs are as follows:

  • Successful completion of an accredited educational training program in which technologists are certified as Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and must be certified for their specialty.

  • Technologists must be currently certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).

  • Two years' experience in the operation of diagnostic radiology equipment under the direction of a Radiologist or other medical officer to produce radiographic studies/images used in medical diagnosis and treatment.

  • Must have worked within a hospital lab setting as an X-Ray Tech in the last six months.

Job Requirements:

  • Implement, and support systems software/hardware products
  • Ensure software and hardware standards
  • Provide technical support implementing updates to systems
  • Implement modifications to existing control systems hardware and software
  • Ensuring software license compliance with all installed software
  • Provide support in the development of technical proposals
  • Resolve software/hardware problems and assist in systems and network installations and issues
  • Make hardware and/or software purchasing recommendations or decisions regarding web development
  • Ensure regulatory compliance for all unit hardware, software, and network infrastructure
  • Obtain authorization for new software, hardware, and firmware before implementation on the system
  • Provide design, analysis, and development support for BAMC
  • Provide analytical and advisory support in the development and direction of strategic hardware, software, and infrastructure systems planning efforts
  • Evaluating compatibility of programs with existing hardware and/or software features
  • Assure web server and site technology performance
  • Lead the most technical and critical of desktop support projects from both project management and technical aspects
  • Troubleshoot system problems to maintain system reliability
  • Assist in planning and forecasting yearly computer hardware and software for budgeting
  • Provide both technical and administrative documentation in a timely manner for developed software and design models
  • Develop plan for business continuity, including monitoring system utilization/performance for capacity planning purposes Act as a technical expert to provide technical support and software upgrades for applications
  • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on all assigned systems
