Job Requirements of Medical Admin Specialist-Virtual Health, NMCSD:
Duties including, but not limited to:
- Oversees and monitors the review, coordination, and tracking of Virtual Healthcare Referrals, monitors the clinical workflow of the LPN’s and other healthcare personnel.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality, as outlined in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Personally Identifiable Information.
- Perform various duties to provide essential office automation support and production.
- Maintain electronic and paper files of information for later retrieval as appropriate.
- Research of operational activities may require coordination with high level officials or civilian and federal agencies.
- Identify technical and functional issues with the system and formulate details change requests to address identified defects.
And other duties as assigned by Government Healthcare Administration.
Education/Experience:
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Information Management, or a related discipline is required, Master’s Degree in one of these areas is preferred.
Experience:
At minimum of 10 years of Medical Administration Services is required.
**Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be qualifying if approved by the requesting location and the Contracting Office.

After training, this position will be teleworking (not remote) 80 % of their work schedule... This is a virtual Health position within the military healthcare systems....
Summary:
Provides medical administration services in a wide range of organizational, business and financial operations. This position will assist senior level management by providing technical expertise and administrative support impacting plans and operations, compliance, risk and quality management, managed care, logistics management, patient administration, budgetary and fiscal management, medical manpower, information management, medical readiness, and medical facility management.
Qualifications:
Mandatory knowledge and skills:
- Knowledge of medical information systems and automated analytical tools and software (clinical and financial models)
- Effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs, Outlook (email), and internet familiarity is required. This includes various microcomputer equipment, and be able to input, retrieve and format documentation.
- Skill in exercising initiatives, judgment, problem solving, and decision-making.
- Skill in developing and maintaining an effective work environment to achieve goals and objectives.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data. Ability to research and prepare comprehensive reports.
