Job Requirements of Dental Assistant:
Responsibilities:
- To treat all Active-Duty beneficiaries presented for care.
- Select and arrange instruments and prepare setups for patient treatment.
- Assist during patient examination and treatment.
- Assist during administration of anesthesia.
- Assist in placement and removal or sutures.
- Instruct in basic oral hygiene care.
- Prepare restorative and impression materials.
- Dispose of contaminated waste in accordance with the standard procedures of the Dental clinic.
- Load and unload radiographic film cassettes.
- Expose bitewing, periapical and occlusal film utilizing bisecting angle or paralleling radiographic techniques.
- Inventory medicine and drug stocks to ensure adequate supplies and controls.
- Greets and receives patients and directs them to appropriate care.
- Receives and screens telephone calls.

We are seeking a Dental Assistant to become part of our team, working with US Coast Guard Headquarters Clinic located in Washington, DC.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, working an 8-hour shift between 7:00am-3:30pm
Overtime, weekends, evenings, and night shifts are not required.

Qualifications:
- 1 year of recent dental assisting experience
- Xray certificate
