MRI Technologists - Full time

Sterling Medical Corporation Portland, OR (Onsite) Full-Time

Sterling Medical is seeking  a Full time Ultrasound Technologist  to provide services at  VA Portland Health Care System.

Requirements for the MRI Techs are as follows:

  • Successful completion of an accredited educational training program in which technologists are certified as Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and must be certified for their specialty.

  • Technologists must be currently certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).

  • Two years' experience in the operation of diagnostic radiology equipment under the direction of a Radiologist or other medical officer to produce radiographic studies/images used in medical diagnosis and treatment.

  • Must have worked within a hospital lab setting as an MRI Tech in the last six months.

Job Requirements:

  • Performing all patient exams/procedures
  • Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department
  • Provide quality patient care to all patients within two or more medical imaging departments
  • Provide patient services using imaging modalities
  • Provide patient services using imaging protocols
  • Reporting to the lead technologist
  • Direct technologist services and actions
  • Coordinate patient care with other patient services
  • Perform a variety of imaging procedures on patients of all ages using sophisticated magnetic resonance imaging equipment providing diagnostic imaging results for the purpose of patient care
  • Ensure all patients and patient information
  • Provide direct patient care and safety to all patients
  • Perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures
  • Provide appropriate coverage for patient exams
  • Report to a chief technologist or manager
  • Assuring acquisition of images for procedures/exams
  • Perform high-quality images and exams on patients while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs
  • Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs
  • Function as lead technologist, assessing technologist competence, scheduling staff and directing workflow
  • Provide for patient care;comfort, safety and patient confidentiality
  • Coordinate and perform diagnostic medical imaging procedures for the MRI department utilizing computerized medical imaging
