Job Requirements of Registered Nurse-Family Advocate-Aviano, Italy:
Experience:
- (2) Two Years within the last 4 years as a Community Health Nurse, Maternal Child Health Nurse, or Direct Experience in child or domestic abuse
- Experience in Home visitation is highly encouraged.
Family Advocacy Nurse shall perform duties to include, but not limited to:
- The 'FAN' or Family Advocacy Nurse shall implement and manage the NPSP (New Parent Support Program). at Installations with more than one FAN, project management responsibilities will be shared.
- The FAN shall provide nursing home-based services that include education, support and anticipatory guidance in such areas as growth and development across the life span, nutrition, parenting, attachment and bonding individual and family health related issues, family violence dynamics, problem solving, family communication skills and bereavement.
- The FAN shall establish an effective process to locate and administer the Family Needs Screener to members of the base population who are eligible for NPSP services and offer home visitation services to families at risk for maltreatment.
- The priority for the FAN is to provide NPSP prevention services to families in their homes.
- The FAN will develop family service plans, which include a nursing diagnosis that incorporates secondary prevention services for NPSP families and maltreatment cases, when applicable.

Sterling Medical is looking for an RN to provide Family Advocacy Nursing Services
At Aviano Air Base-Aviano, Italy
Air Base nestled in the foothills of the Pre-Alps or Dolomites.

Qualifications:
Education:
- BSN
- Diploma or degree from a National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) accredited school of Nursing
License:
Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in one of (50) fifty states District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Certification:
Must have current BLS (Basic Life Support), for Health Care Provider by American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC)
