Job Requirements of Electrocardiograph(ECG) Technician:
- Prepare diagnostic information for physician
- Exhibit professionalism by being courteous and maintaining good rapport and working relationships with staff, patients and visitors
- Identify and correct for artifacts
- Facilitate patient/family participation in self-care based on age and development status
- Maintain an overall management style in accordance with established best practices
- Perform a variety of procedures in the Vascular lab, including but not limited to carotid Doppler, abdominal aortic ultrasound,renal artery Doppler, lower extremity
- Ensure contact information (email and phone number) is up to date and upload current resume prior to submitting application for consideration
- Provide high quality studies in professional way
- Identify patients and exams accurately 100% of the time according to department policy as observed by supervisor or other staff
- Produce diagnostic quality images and Doppler frequency recordings using M-mode, two dimensional, and Doppler ultrasound
- Perform Vascular Flow Studies and Echocardiograms and other ultrasound procedures
- Assuring competency and efficiency of medical staff and associates
- Hire a Level 2/3 IT Technician
- Assist in cleaning and maintenance of equipment
- Provide for the emotional, physical well-being, and safety of the patient
- Interpreting each study in a timely manner
- Correct recording instrument malfunction or unusual patient problems that interfere with recordings
- Perform stress/echoes, dobutamine echo and contrast studies
- Perform 2-D, M-mode,color Doppler, pulsed wave Doppler, and continuous wave Doppler
- Perform non-invasive echo procedures according to ICAEL protocols and standards

Electrocardiograph(ECG) Technician
Sterling Medical is currently 2 full time Electrocardiograph ( ECG) echnicians to provide services at VA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA
Location: VA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.
Clinic Hours: 0730 to 1600 Monday through Friday. All holidays are observed.
Job Type: full time ( 8 hour shifts)
Electrocardiograph Technicians must possess the following skills/experience:

Be able to operate instruments used to record electrocardiograms, exercise tolerance tests, 24-48 heart monitoring and scanning, and pacemaker evaluations. Certification is offered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT).

Be knowledgeable of typical patient reactions and signs of medical/physical/ psychological distress including ability to recognize report and treat potentially lethal arrhythmias.

Be knowledge of common ECG equipment settings and standardized operating procedures and also knowledgeable of common errors and corrective measures.

Have the ability to demonstrate proper ECG lead placement.

Possess knowledge of medical terminology.

Have the ability to modify procedure/lead positioning to obtain correct results with patients with complicated conditions such as amputations, Parkinson's disease, and structural defects (e.g. scarred tissue).

Be knowledgeable in Operation Monitoring such as watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

Have basic computer skills. Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Software (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
