The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. The CMA will provide direct support to medical personnel, assisting with patient care, administrative duties, and ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained in a military healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist medical providers in delivering quality healthcare services to Coast Guard personnel.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and assisting during medical procedures.
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation in accordance with healthcare policies.
- Manage patient flow and coordinate appointments for follow-up care.
- Sterilize and maintain medical equipment and instruments.
- Provide health education and guidance to Coast Guard personnel regarding preventive healthcare measures.
- Support the medical team in emergency situations when needed.
Qualifications:
- Certification : Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through a recognized certifying body (e.g., AAMA, AMT, or NCCT).
- Experience : Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or military environment preferred.
- Skills : Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge : Familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and patient care protocols.

- U.S. Citizen or legal resident.
- Ability to pass a security clearance background check.
